On Thursday, the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Senad Mašović, received the Director of the International Military Staff of NATO, Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak, who is on an official visit to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meetings, information was exchanged about the current and future activities and operations of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the country and abroad, as well as opinions and attitudes regarding the current security and other challenges facing the world today, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina and its armed forces.
Also, projects of importance for the defense institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported by NATO were discussed.
“NATO remains committed to our strong dialogue and practical cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina,” emphasized General Adamczak.
He also emphasized NATO’s commitment to the realization of an aid package for the further development of the defense capacities of the Armed Forces of BiH, with the aim of helping BiH implement existing plans for the modernization of defense and security structures.

In the continuation of the visit, the Director of the International Military Staff of NATO will today meet with the Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, the Commander of EUFOR, visit the Training Center for Peace Support Operations of the BiH Armed Forces, where he will give a lecture to the members of the BiH Armed Forces and visit the Center for Mine Action and the destruction of unexploded ordnance of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while tomorrow he will visit the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
