The Doboj area, in cooperation with the RS government and with the financial assistance of the European Investment Bank will implement a water supply project and wastewater system that is worth 20 million KM.

According to the Director of AD “Vodovod” in Doboj Perica Jovanovića, the implementation of this project would bring an expansion of the water supply network and its reconstruction. It will have a long-term solution and supply people with drinking water.

“The existing sources of Luka and Rudanka will be closed in order to work on the construction of a main transport pipeline, which will be placed in the area of Kožuh and Osječan. We are talking about new sources where there are large amounts of potable drinking water’’, said Jovanović.

Ten million KM will be provided by credits from the European Investment Bank, while the rest of the funding will be from IPA funds and local communities.

“City of Doboj will cover around 10 percent of the financial costs. We hope that until the end of this or the beginning of next year we will begin with the implementation of the project’’, said the Mayor of Doboj Obren Petrović.
