12084173_1740883506148326_939170525_nEU Info Centre in cooperation with the Embassy of The Republic of Poland in BiH is organizing a film screening of the documentary dedicated to the life and work of the former Polish Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki.

The projection will be held in the EU Info Centre in the building of the EU Delegation to BiH in Sarajevo, starting at 5:30 pm, as announced from the center.

Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in BiH Andrzej Krawczyk will open the event.

After the screening, visitors will be able to participate in moderated discussion with the special guest coming from Poland, Mr. Konstanty Gebert, who was Assistant of Mr. Mazowiecki when he was Special Rapporteur of the UN Commission on Human Rights in the territory of the Former Yugoslavia in 1990s.

Konstanty Gebert (nickname David Warszawski) is a Polish journalist, a Jewish activist and writer. He was a witness and Assistant to the Polish Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki during his mission in BiH as a Special Reporter of the UN Human Rights in the former Yugoslavia. Mazowiecki resigned from that post as a protest to the numerous violations of international law during the war at the territory of BiH, especially in Srebrenica.

Tadeusz Mazowiecki is an honorary citizen of Sarajevo and one of the most prominent politicians of Europe who has had a truly impressive and inspiring biography.

This meeting with the witness of his mission, Mr. Konstantym Gebert, will be an opportunity to make the significance and details of the BiH mission of Tadeusz Mazowiecki closer to everyone interested in the contemporary history of BiH, as stated from the EU Info Centre in BiH.
