Entity President Milorad Dodik has arrived in Moscow, the capital of Russia, where he will attend the Victory Day parade tomorrow on behalf of the Bosnian entity of Republika Srpska.
In a statement upon his arrival in Russia, Dodik said that “this will be an important opportunity to meet with many important people, heads of state and government”.
As reported earlier today by the media, Dodik was accompanied by Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Member Željka Cvijanović and Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also arrived in Moscow yesterday, and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is expected to attend the May 9 parade.
Victory Day is celebrated on May 9 in Russia and other countries, including some former Soviet republics, to commemorate the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany during World War II, a conflict that Russia calls the Great Patriotic War.
