The president of the Bosnian and Herzegovinan (BiH) entity Republika Srpska, (RS) Milorad Dodik, reacted to statements made on Monday by the reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein Kavazovic, that “BiH, under European patronage, has been turned into a punching bag.”
Dodik, calling Kavazovic “the first Muslim in BiH”, said that he is “on the offensive since the SDA was in the opposition”.
“I understand that Kavazovic is interested in the life and progress of Muslims, but he shows his concern in a completely unacceptable way for the time we live in and the system that is in force. All of this would not be strange or bizarre if Husein Kavazovic had a registered political party and spoke and acted from those positions. But wearing religious symbols and actively engaging in politics deserves a political response,” stated Dodik.
To recall, Kavazovic said in an interview for Voice of America that BiH has been turned into a punching bag under European patronage, and that the neighbors, Serbia and Croatia, with the help of Russia and Hungary, are leading the way.
“BiH was turned into a punching bag under the European patronage, whoever wanted to try something in BiH – could do it. The most common ones were Serbia, Croatia, Russia and Hungary. Anyone can come here and encourage the forces that want to destroy BiH. The United States (U.S.) made a big mistake when it withdrew its troops from BiH. It should have left at least one part, even a symbolic one, and thus send the message that BiH is a country under U.S. protection. The U.S.opted for a blacklist that did not lead to results. BiH is a locomotive that is on a big downhill and heading toward the abyss. I am afraid that the blacklist will blacken BiH because of the untimely reaction toward those who destroy BiH so that they are removed from the political scene,” Kavazovic said.
