13115653_1168026259914995_1235858100_nPresident of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that he will resign and no longer deal with politics if the opposition gathers 40.000 people in protests, as they announce.

Dodik said that the authority will not organize a counter-protest, but a meeting for Republika Srpska, pointing out that he is convinced that the support for the politics he is leading is the greatest in the RS.

“That meeting is not a protest, but a meeting of support to the stability of Republika Srpska. That is something entirely opposite of what they want. All they do, they do at the expense of Republika Srpska,” Dodik said, stating that authorities have no intention to cause any kind of conflicts.

Dodik highlighted that it is a meeting for Republika Srpska and that he is personally responsible for all those who come to the meeting he is organizing.

Dodik stated that, according to surveys, the SDS now has only 11 percent of support, and that it is a party which entered the parliament with 24 delegates and now has 18 of them.

Furthermore, Dodik, who is also president of SNSD, said he will defeat the Alliance for Changes on local elections and that he will organize an impressive meeting of support for Republika Srpska.

Speaking of the referendum about the Day of Republika Srpska, Dodik said that he will suggest that the referendum is held on the same day as local elections.

“I spoke with Mladen Ivanić, member of the Presidency of BiH from the Serb people, and he has a rational approach – he believes that the referendum is necessary,” Dodik stated.

Answering to the question is Republika Srpska in a danger of collapsing, Dodik said that it is a lie that could be heard five years ago, when rumors had it that pensions and wages will not be paid.

“Budget is stable, wages and pensions are not in jeopardy nor they will ever be,” Dodik said.
