Dodik: Serbs and Croats will decide on everything at the Level of BiH

A meeting of the ruling coalition in the Republika Srpska (RS)was held yesterday in Banja Luka, in the premises of the SNSD Main Board.

The focus of the meeting was on the rapid formation of the government in the RS in accordance with the election results and the new personnel.

“We are ready to form the government and leadership of the National Assembly of the RS (NARS) and to get involved in the formation of government at other levels. The constituent session of the NARS will be held on Tuesday,” said Dodik after the meeting.

He stressed that positions in the Government of the RS will be divided in accordance with the election results of the coalition parties.

“We agreed that it should be led by the oldest deputy from SNSD. That the president of NARS should come from United Srpska. We have reached an agreement, this structure strengthened with others, we are going to support four candidates from SNSD in the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). We have the math and the policy that will ensure that. Five delegates from RS are going to the House of People, and four will be from SNSD. We also discussed the principles of filling the Government of the RS. It now has 16 ministries and the Prime Minister. We want to create as soon as possible institutional assumptions that the majority in the National Assembly work smoothly. As for the People’s Council, we agreed on a structure that is already known. We previously agreed to renew the coalition agreement from before with new facts in the next seven to ten days,” stated Dodik.

He emphasized that the coalition partners had a high-quality meeting, and that there were no “some dissonant tones”, that all party representatives expressed their views, and that he was satisfied with the level of policy alignment.

“Today, we once again confirmed our common commitment to power in the RS. There remains the possibility of cooperating with everyone on issues that are of interest to the RS. We show the stability of the RS, which was created by the actions of this coalition. There will be a lot of difficult challenges in the time to come and I believe that we can answer them in a quality way,” said SP president Petar Djokic yesterday.

DEMOS leader Nedeljko Cubrilovic said that the number of mandates won speaks of the strength of the coalition, and United Srpska President Nenad Stevandic pointed out that the two-thirds majority is a “national issue”, expressing the hope that this majority will exist in the NARS.

It was also pointed out that the four delegates in the House of Peoples of BiH will be the “bulwark of defense” of RS.

“A small innovation. We will have the session of the NARS on Tuesday, and we are making it possible for the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency to take the oath in the assembly. So, for the first time before being introduced to the mandate, the member of the Presidency takes the oath in the National Assembly, which we want to put into practice,” announced Dodik.

About the formation of the government in the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and at the BiH level, the SNSD president said:

“I see that those Muslims are in trouble there, the Serb-Croat bloc will decide everything, not them. We will decide here, whatever they think about it”, Klix.ba reports.
