Dodik: BiH has no Future with Impositions

Milorad Dodik, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said today in Sarajevo that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be constitutional or it will not be and that any imposition on Christian Schmidt is not adequate because he was not legally elected and has no legal basis to enact anything.

“We want a constitutional BiH. What they are trying to do with that story about the imposition of a solution by the high representative is false, and any imposition by him is not adequate,” Dodik told reporters after the session of the Presidency of BiH.

Dodik repeated that Schmidt was not legally elected and has no legal basis to make anything, and all the decisions he makes are not legally valid.

He said that at today’s session of the Presidency, his initiative was accepted by which BiH will join the group of more than 30 EU countries and regions that have already adopted the initiative on the definition of the term anti-Semitism.

“A few days ago I was in Israel and there I agreed with the officials to launch an initiative to adopt an informal, non-binding definition of the term anti-Semitism through the conclusion of the Presidency. I am grateful to these two members of the Presidency for accepting that initiative,” said Dodik.

Dodik said that the position of the Republika Srpska has not changed, that it will not accept imposed solutions, while Bosniak politicians are fine with putting pressure on the RS, and now they are not fine with Schmidt not imposing solutions and threatening to take to the streets.

“That is their matter. We are not naive, that does not apply to us. Time will show that we do not accept any of his decisions,” said Dodik.

Dodik said that the Electoral Law of BiH has been discussed for ten or more years and that it did not produce results, while now someone, who does not have a mandate, would impose something.

“In Sarajevo, when something appears that does not suit the global Muslim political interest holders, there are attacks and threats,” said Dodik, commenting on the dissatisfaction of Bosniak politicians with the announcement that Schmidt would impose changes to the BiH Election Law.

He reiterated that he adheres to the principled solution that the high representative is not competent to impose solutions, that he is not competent because he was not elected to the UN Security Council and that he is a false figure.

“I spoke today with the German MP /Peter Bayer/ who is a lawyer. I asked him why he never mentioned the rule of law at the meeting, to which he did not have an answer. He talks about Schmidt as a good man. But that is not enough. In order to to be a high representative, you must be appointed by a relevant resolution as required by Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement,” explained Dodik.

He said that Schmidt is trying, by using the political power of the countries behind him, to impose something.

“A few days ago, Germany adopted the Resolution on the future of BiH. They stated something anti-constitutional for BiH and anti-Dayton. They interfere in the internal affairs of BiH in an unnecessary way, saying that BiH should give up on the people. Benjamin Kalaj also said that before hundred years. It didn’t pass then, and it won’t pass today either,” Dodik pointed out.

He pointed out the absurdity of Germany making such decisions, while at the same time Schmidt imposes a solution that is completely contrary to that resolution.

“In Sarajevo, they celebrated that resolution of the Bundestag, and it is a reflection of the attitude of Muslim politicians. It is unbelievable that the Bundestag is mocked by such a thing. But, what is wrong now, what is the problem now,” asked Dodik.

He said that the Muslims, who say they love BiH, must come to an agreement with the Croats and Serbs.

“If they don’t want to agree – no Bundestag will impose solutions on them to keep their country. This country has no future with imposition,” said Dodik.

Representatives of political parties from the FBiH talked with Schmidt, whom the Republika Srpska considers illegal, about changes to the Election Law in BiH, after which the Bosniak political parties said that they did not agree because they believe that this is an insult to the HDZ and the Croats in BiH, BHRT writes.
