“Air quality in BiH” is a free app that will give you the latest information about the quality of air in Tuzla, Lukavac, Zenica, Sarajevo, Prijedor, Jajce, Brod, Goražde, Ugljevik, Živinice, and soon in Sapna as well.
This app can help you protect your health. Every hour it will give you fresh information about the current quality of air in the place where you are currently located, as well as adequate instructions for behavior so that you could reduce the adverse impact of the polluted air on your health as much as possible.
To install this app, follow this link and then follow instructions on your cell phone. Version for Apple devices is still being made.
When you finish installation process, you will see the app settings. You have two options at your disposal: to choose the city where you currently are from the list or to let the device choose the location based on data collected through location services of your device.
By pressing the colored circle, you will get information how to behave in case of poor air quality and what is the possible impact of polluted air on your health.
If you press the button “Index”, you will see the latest information about the quality of air at your location. Next to the name of the location, you will see date and time when the measurement of air quality took place.
“The number in the colored circle is the Index of air quality. More information about the Index can be found on this link, as well as information about the description of the indexes that are under the circle.
In order to see the latest information about air quality, press the button in the upper right corner of the screen. New information is available ten minutes after each full hour that passes.
By pressing the button “7 days” in the bottom part of the screen, you can see information about the quality of air in your city for the past seven days.
This mobile app has been entirely developed in Eco action, with support from the Foundation Heireich Boell in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
