According to words of duty police officer, Miljacka is already touching some parts of the bridge.

“Even though level of Miljacka is constantly rising, other bridges are open to pedestrians and cars, but if the rain continues to fall with this intensity, we assume that they would have to be closed”, said duty police officer.

Abundant rain which falls for days caused many problems, such as the loss of electricity, overflowing of rivers and flooding of households.

The water level of Miljacka is the highest in the last 10 years and currently it is around 224 centimeters.
