BiH and Iran have significant economic potentials, and there are numerous opportunities for economic cooperation between these two countries, especially in the fields of energy, metal and agro-industry, construction, paper industry as well as numerous other sectors,” as noted at the Economic Forum BiH – Islamic Republic of Iran.

The promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade and joint investments through direct connection of businessmen and promotion of investment opportunities is the main aim of the forum, which was organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH (VTKBiH) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Ahmet Egrlic, stated that there is a great interest in business cooperation and bilateral meetings will be attended by representatives of more than 30 Iranian and 40 BH companies.

He also added that the exchange between the two countries amounts to six million BAM, and it does not reflect the real situation and the capacity of these countries, while the export-import coverage is 43 %. BH imports from Iran mostly include fruits, dates, and we mostly export chemical products.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zafir, especially noted the need for the cooperation between businessmen from these two countries.
