pravosuđeAfter a meeting of the FBiH President Živko Budimir and the two Vice-Presidents Svetozar Pudarić and Mirsad Kebo that lasted several hours, an agreement was reached last night on the common proposal for naming a judge of the FBIH Constitutional Court.

“Our candidate is Edin Muminović’’, said Budimir to journalists.

He said that the decision was brought in order to protect the reputation of FBIH institutions, the dignity of the President and the Vice-Presidents of the FBiH, and to keep their word that was given at the recent meeting with OHR.

“The decision was made to protect the reputation of OHR and the High Representative Valentin Inzko, who accepted our request for the decision to be postponed until today’’, said Budimir.

He pointed out that it was not easy to reach a decision, and that a lot of time was needed and that he is convinced that it will be for the benefit of the FBiH.

Vice-Presidents Pudarić and Kebo stated after the meeting that they fully support the decision of Budimir to the House of Representatives of the FBIH to ratify the suggestion to nominate Edin Muminović as a judge of the FBiH Constitutional Court.

Edin Muminović is a doctor of law and a university professor, and he was nominated for the positon of Faris Vehabović, who was elected as a judge for the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
