After the autopsy of the bodies of eight tragically killed nineteen-year-olds in the village of Tribistovo near Posusje, the families took over the bodies in order to say goodbye for the last time and send their loved ones to eternal rest.

The funeral of Mirela Rezo will be held today at 12 o’clock in Posušje, and two hours later Stjepan Jukic will be buried, it was confirmed from the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Posusje.

On Monday, Žana, Marija and Stipe Pavković, Ivan Miličević, Mia Soldo and Stipe Romić will be buried in Rakitno.

Mass for the tragically killed on Monday at 12 o’clock in the Church of St. Ivan Krstitelj will be held by the Bishop of Mostar and Duvanj and the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Trebinje and Mrkanj, Petar Palić.

Aacting prosecutor Borislav Culjak said that the Prosecution was continuing its investigative actions in order to establish the exact cause of the death that befell four girls and four boys.

“Eight young people between the ages of 18 and 19 were killed,” confirmed Milan Galic on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior.

“There were also younger people waiting for the New Year in the neighboring cottage. They were the first to notice that no one came out of the cottage nearby. After that they tried to enter the cottage, but the door was locked. One of them entered, and on the ground floor, he found eight people unconscious, after which he called the police “, said Galic, reports Dnevnik.hr.

Young people most likely suffocated because of the gas from the generator that supplied the house with electricity.

As a reminder, the tragedy happened while the young people were waiting for the New Year.
