Sixteen-year-old Ella Jovanović, who was seriously injured in a tram accident on February 12 in Sarajevo, has successfully taken her first independent steps. Her recovery is the result of emergency intervention by Sarajevo doctors, followed by complex rehabilitation and prosthetic care in Zagreb.
After the accident, Ella was admitted to the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš” in critical condition. Due to the severity of her injuries, which were directly life-threatening, the medical team led by Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović had to amputate her leg.
