The European Movement in BiH (EPuBiH) is in the final stages of activity of the project “Europe In My School’’, which is financed by the European Union.
The representative of the European Movement in BiH held workshops with students in high schools in Zenica (First Gymnasium) and Busovača (Mixed high school) under the title ”Euroepan class”.
The workshops were conducted with a combination of traditional and new models of interactive methods (roles, debates, critical reading of current events in the EU), exchanging the roles between students and teachers, etc…)
The students received an answer to the questions: What is a state/international organization? What is the European Union? When did the EU form? How did the EU develop? How does the EU function? Members of the EU and their characteristics? EU documents? Expansion of the EU? How will the EU look in the future?
The workshops succeeded in involving the students as active participants in a debate, and not as objects of lectures by providing them with consise teaching and a simplified access to issues.
Also, preparations were made at these lectures and they discussed the participation of the selected schools in a quiz to test knowledge of the EU and EU integration, which will be used as the final activity of the project in February.
Educational materials on the EU and European integration were handed out to the students, which was created by the EPuBiH, and the material that the Delegation of the EU in BiH and the BiH Directorate for European Integration submitted to BiH in order to improve implementation of these training activities.
