EUFOR Commander meets His Eminence Metropolitan of Dabarbosnia

EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with His Eminence Metropolitan of Dabarbosnia, Mr. Hrizostom Jević, in Sarajevo as part of EUFOR’s ongoing engagement with representatives of communities and institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting focused on the important contribution of religious communities in promoting dialogue, encouraging mutual understanding, and strengthening trust among people. Both interlocutors underlined that constructive and respectful dialogue remains essential for reconciliation, peaceful coexistence, and long-term stability.

The discussion also offered an opportunity to exchange views on current developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasise the shared responsibility of preserving a safe and secure environment for all citizens. His Eminence Metropolitan Hrizostom expressed appreciation for EUFOR’s continued efforts in supporting peace and stability across the country.

Major General Fronda reaffirmed that cooperation, open communication, and strong partnerships with local institutions and community leaders remain key elements in supporting stability and resilient communities.

EUFOR continues to operate under its mandate in support of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining a credible, visible, and impartial presence throughout the country.
