EUFOR received a request from Visoko to educate pupils about the dangers of mines and how to behave if you ever encounter them.
Since the Liaison and Observation Teams (LOT) have certified Mine Risk Education (MRE) instructors, LOT Zenica scheduled an MRE class there. The class was informative and interactive, tailored to the level of understanding and age of the kids.
It is of utmost importance for everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina to be aware of the still lingering dangers of mines and other explosive remnants of war because they still pose a mortal threat to the population, especially to vulnerable groups like small kids.
EUFOR is committed to a safe and secure environment (SASE) and to a mine free BiH and continues to hold MRE classes for those who need.
