The Minister of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of the RS Srebrenka Golić said that the results in the management of solid waste are excellent, and that construction on a regional landfill in Banja Luka has begun. The results are also good in Bijeljina, and that a construction of regional landfills in Prijedor and Zvornik are being successfully carried out.
Regarding the activities that are being carried out in the RS in solid waste, Golić spoke yesterday to representatives of the World Bank, which is funding the projects in the RS.
During the meeting in Banja Luka, Golić said that the drafts for the feasibility of the construction of regional landfills that are planned for Gacko and Foča are completed.
She said that these documents showed that in terms of profitability these landfills, they would not come close to being profitable.
