Exclusive Interview with Robert De Niro (Video)

de niroFamous Hollywood actor Robert De Niro visited the capital of BiH to receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award for Lifetime Achievement and open this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival.

De Niro used his stay in Sarajevo to visit the places that he wanted, and from 10 locations that were offered, he chose to visit the Jewish cemetery, Zlatiste and Sarajevo Tunnel, a key sites during the siege of Sarajevo.

On the last day of his stay in Sarajevo, the famous actor spoke about his career in front of the festival audience and media representatives at the National Theatre, after which he decided to walk through the heart of Sarajevo – Bascarsija, and buy some souvenirs.

He gave an exclusive interview for the festival’s official TV, in which he said that he watched the siege of Sarajevo on television and saw photos in newspapers, but he still wanted to come to see Sarajevo on his own.
