The Exhibition “The Miracle of the Qur’an” to be held

exhibitionThe exhibition “The Miracle of the Quran” by doc. Dr. Esmir Halilovic, will be opened on Friday in Brusa Bezistan, within the Museum of Sarajevo.

After successful project “Museum of Prophet Muhamed a.s. (Muzej Poslanika Muhammeda a.s.)” and the exhibition “Meet the Prophet, a.s. (Upoznaj Poslanika, a.s.)”, which were held in cities in BiH and Montenegro, and had more than 29,000 visitors, Dr. Esmir Halilovic, a professor on the Department of Religious Studies at the Islamic Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Zenica decided to present the phenomenon of the Qur’an.

The project was designed so that, in a multidisciplinary, picturesque, interactive and modern audio-visual way, presents the last God’s revelation to mankind – the Holy Quran.

“We want to present the Qur’an as the foundation of Islam, in the way that it has never been presented before. We want to give people the phenomenon of the Quran by making them open the Qur’an, to study it, think about it, and live the Holy Qur’an,”  said Halilovic.

The exhibition consists of 33 educational panels, models, video content, artifacts that are related with the Qur’an, one of the oldest transcript of the Qur’an in BiH, translations of Qur’an in more than 20 languages, the materials on which the Qur’an was written and for the first time VR – virtual reality.

Virtual reality is a new technology with which visitors experience the feeling of visiting the holy Mecca and Medina, and they see these places with VR headset and move in their three-dimensional world. The exhibition will be opened at 2:00 pm and the entrance for visitors is free of charge.
