Mirko Šarović za AA: Dodik me neće smijeniti, ne bojimo ga se!After a meeting with representatives of the Association of poultry and egg producers, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic announced that our country met all the requirements for the export of poultry meat and products from this meat and eggs in the EU.

They are working on the fulfillment of conditions in accordance with the Action Plan which was agreed by the relevant institutions of the European Union. First, they will select BH companies that are meeting the requirements, in order not to repeat mistakes from before.

He also announced that during the year of 2017, in BiH will arrive inspection of the Directorate for food, health, and risk analysis of the European Union, which could give permission for export of poultry meat, food, and meat products, poultry and eggs in the EU to domestic producers.

Sarovic said that inspection from Dublin is coming at the request of our country and will inspect manufacturing facilities and the whole system.

“I think that this is really a good news. We are currently working on the harmonization of the relevant deadline. We are hoping for the best,” said the minister, noting that he is optimistic.

Part of products of poultry meat will enter BiH without customs duties. We talked about the distribution of these quotas. In the middle of the year, we will see to which extent it affects the competitiveness of our manufacturers.

Except for this topic, they discussed the current situation, the problems of our producers, issues concerning the creation of conditions for obtaining licenses to export to the EU, the impact of adapted SAA on this sector and issues related to bird flu.

Poultry producers have announced that they are willing to try, both in domestic and in the demanding European market, although they are aware that we live in, as they say, a strange country where economic cooperation between the institutions is not satisfactory. They said that they hope to send different signals with easier and better organization and send a healthy and optimistic message that will soon prove to the EU market as well.
