Through a series of events that will be held in Mostar, Konjic, Pazaric, Sarajevo, Mrkonjic Grad and Banja Luka, the public of BiH will be introduced with space research that is carried out by NASA.
On this occasion, the US Embassy in BiH is bringing in our country one of the leading experts in this field – NASA’s engineer Nagin Cox, member of the tactical leadership of the mission: Curiosity Rover Flight Team (scientific laboratory on Mars).
The aim of these events is to promote research in space and encourage interest among younger generations – causing interest and perhaps launching of new careers. During the one week program, Nagin Cox will talk to young people in Mostar, Konjic, Pazaric, Sarajevo, Mrkonjic Grad and Banja Luka.
Dr. Cox will give lectures at numerous schools, universities, the American Corners and youth centers. She will also participate in the opening of the exhibition of stone from the Moon at the Museum of Contemporary Art of RS in Banja Luka, and will lead the session during Nights of science and activism in the National Museum in Sarajevo.
Dr. Cox will be visiting as follows:
- Monday, April 11, Mostar
- Tuesday, April 12, Konjic / Pazaric
- Wednesday, April 13, Sarajevo
- Thursday, 14 April, Mrkonjic Grad and Banja Luka
- Friday, April 15, Banja Luka and Sarajevo
- Saturday, April 16, Sarajevo
