olovo mineFederal Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Industry in Olovo, after the investigation on the coal mine “Ocekalj”, held an oral hearing in the middle of last week which, for the company Geomet Olovo, legally represents the last step in the acquisition of a license for the exploitation of mineral ores of lead.

Director General of the company Geomet Ismar Sabovic said that from 2012 to date in the project was invested about 5 million BAM and that permit for the exploitation is one of the key steps for the final start of the production cycle.

The company or its investors are planning to invest another 10 million BAM in the near future, and instead of current 30, to hire another 200 workers.

Representatives of the competent Federal Ministry said that after the positive opinion was given in the context of public hearing, they will start with preparation of a license for exploitation.
