Factories in Republika Srpska Entity start Production of Protective Masks

Some companies in Republika Srpska entity have already reoriented themselves and started manufacturing protective masks for the needs of their employees, as well as other companies.

“The masks are mostly made of cotton and they are reusable,” the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska said in a press release on Thursday.

The company points out that the production of masks to prevent the spread of corona viruses began because of their lack in the domestic market, and that they surveyed local textile companies in order to find a solution to this problem.

“We particularly emphasize that there are companies in this area that are ready to completely re-divert or reorient part of their capacities to the production of masks, for which they need to provide raw material,” they said. They report that 12 companies have so far expressed their willingness to contribute to overcoming this problem. “We are sure that others are ready to partially or completely reorient their production in order to compensate for the lack of these products in the domestic market by additional mask production,” the Chamber said.
