The KDZ inspection of the Alta shopping center on Franca Lehara Street has been completed. This is a false report, and the event has been qualified as a criminal offense of False Reporting.

The inspection of the facility on Vrbanja Street, i.e. the SCC shopping center, is still ongoing, announced the spokeswoman of the Ministry of the Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo Mersiha Novalić.

As a reminder, the police in Sarajevo took security measures after receiving reports of allegedly placed explosive devices in two shopping centers in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with death threats to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović.

As confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo, the reports were received via e-mail and relate to the Sarajevo City Center and the Alta shopping center.

The field is proceeding in accordance with the applicable protocols, and the competent services are checking the credibility of the reports and the security condition of the facilities.

The threatening email, as reported by local media, states that a kilogram of explosives has been placed in the SCC, and twice as much with a remote detonator in Alta. It also states, among other things, that “after the action, they will also kill President Denis Bećirović.”
