Farmers from Posavina blocked the Road

The farmers of Posavina used tractors to block the road on the road Tuzla – Orašje. With this protest, which they say is just a warning sign, they want to express their dissatisfaction with the status in this economic sector. Farmers from other parts of the Federation also announced their support, and they announced their demands earlier.

The representative of the Orašje Farmers’ Association, Perica Marošević, said that this act is only the first warning move.

“Going out on the road is our first warning move, and in case of ignoring it, we will tighten and expand it. We want to fight for our betterment and even the survival of certain agricultural producers,” said Marošević.

Marošević points out that he would like there to be no blockade at all, but that they are ready for several days of protests.

“We can stay for three hours, or three days, or even more. Until our demands are met,” he says.

Some of the farmers’ demands are the payment of the promised aid for wheat produced in 2022/2023, the payment of compensation for euthanized pigs, the payment of overdue incentives, as well as an urgent meeting with the Minister of Agriculture regarding the question of how to start autumn sowing.

The list of requests is ready to be sent to the address of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
