FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić received the Head of the World Bank Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christopher Sheldon, with whom he discussed projects in the field of agriculture and water management.

They assessed activities realized in the previous period as positive. The activities refer primarily to the documents adopted by the Government of the Federation of BiH in the field of water management, the Program for the Improvement of Water Services in the FBiH and the Decision on the Adoption of the Methodology for Establishing the Lowest Basic Price of Water Services in the FBiH.

This made it possible to start the process of improving the water utility sector and the modernization of utility companies, as well as the economic reform of water tariffs, as well as applying for credit and grant funds from international development partners for capital infrastructure projects in the water utility sector.

Sheldon pointed out that through three delegated projects, worth 67 million euros, BiH can expect the improvement of water services, better management of the Sava and Drina river basins, and improvement of resilience and competitiveness in agriculture in the Federation of BiH, the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry announced.
