Federal Prime Minister Hosted the Italian Ambassador to BiH for a Farewell Visit

niksic cardona1Today in Sarajevo the Federal Prime Minister of BiH Nermin Nikšić hosted the Italian ambassador of BH Raimond de Cordona for a farewell visit.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy for everything that he had done during his mandate and for all his achievements and progress in regard to bilateral relations of BH and Italy, announced the Government of the FBiH.
Ambassador Cardona, who will continue with his diplomatic career in Tunis, presented several observations on the political and economic situation in BH.
What was particularly pointed out was the need for reforms in order for BiH to join the EU as soon as possible. The Presidency of the EU will be led by Italy for the second half of next year. He highlighted that changes in the immediate environment have to be carried out sooner or later.
The necessity of creating a favorable environment in order to attract foreign investors was particularly emphasized. In that context, Prime Minister Nikšič said that in cooperation with the Council of Foreign Investors to create conditions so that foreign investors have as few as possible obstacles for the implementation of their projects in BiH, and they urged Italian investors to participate more intensively in development projects in BiH.
‘Italy is with us and ready to bring more people who will contribute to the development of BiH. We hope that we will have good colleagues in the Federation and in the country’ said at the end Ambassador De Cordona.
