Organized by the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar and the City Administration, a 22-meter-high ferris wheel was officially opened on Saturday, which was placed across the street from Zrinjevac Park.

The panoramic wheel consists of 22 semi-open cabins and was assembled by the company Fest d.o.o. from Ozalj.

Mostar Mayor Mario Kordic said that the idea for this tourist attraction was developed by the City of Mostar together with its tourist community, in order to “launch this fine part of the year in the City of Mostar”.

“After Christmas and the New Year, we always have some kind of gap in events, so this year we tried to afford our fellow citizens an attraction like this. The city is waking up, spring is coming and we expect to socialize with our fellow citizens and enter the summer period slowly , when a handful of events await us,” emphasized the mayor.

Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, Elvira Dilberović, pointed out that this is a positive story and that the City of Mostar is entering the upcoming tourist season with full steam.

“We wanted our citizens to feel that the season is waking up. The weather is in our favor. This is something new and we think that Mostar deserves something like this. We want to brighten up our fellow citizens’ every day and we think that this is a positive story. There will be more, this is just the beginning. The panoramic wheel will remain in Mostar until mid-May, so everyone will have the opportunity to experience this unforgettable experience and see the city from a different perspective,” Dilberović said.

After the ceremonial opening of the panoramic wheel, Mayor Kordić distributed Easter eggs to the youngest inhabitants of Mostar, Fena news agency reports.
