Fifteen years of Messer in BiH,100 million BAM of investments

messerThe event marking the 15 years of presence of Messer company was held yesterday in Mostar, which is the centre of the company Messer Mostar Plin.

On that occasion, a press conference was held where they talked about their business result, investment in BIH, about their employees and infrastructure and future investments.

Owner of the Messer Group, the largest world company for production and distribution of technical and special gasses Stefan Messer talked at the press conference, as well as president of Messer BH GAS Velentin Ilievski, manager of Messer Mostar Plin Ivan Maslać and Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić.

Ilievski said that Messer is a positive example of good business in BiH since they invested 100 million BAM and noted that Messer has opened two large factories in Zenica and Sočkovac.

He added that Messer employs over 100 people and added that it’ll continue to invest in BiH and in this year an investment of around 1 million BAM will be realized.

Maslać said that since 1997 when Messer came to BiH, the company tripled its production and doubled the number of workers, which is a indicator that coming of Messer to BIH was an excellent move.

Owner of the Messer Group Stefan Messer said that BIH market is very significant for Messer because the country has a good potential in developing industrial capacities and added that because of that he sees a good opportunity to distribute gas to various users and to export it to other countries.

Bešlić noted that the company has created a positive image of Mostar and made it a better place for investors.

After the conference a solemn celebration of the anniversary was held with numerous BiH officials and Ambassador of Germany to BIH Ulrike Maria Knotz.

Foreign Investments Promotion Agency gave Messer acknowledged Messer as the greatest foreign investor to BiH in 2009.
