The film talks about young blonde Andula who lives in a student dorm in a small town in central Bohemia, where there are ten women to every man – and most of the men are married, anyway. Just like most of her girlfriends, Andula desires a little of simple human love. She is inexperienced and easily believes promises and flatteries. All of a sudden it seems that the right one has turned up – a young pianist Milda. After having spent a night with him, Andula leaves for his love to Prague. When she meets the young man´s parents, however, she finds out that everything is different than it seemed…he movie one one hand reflects the contemporary atmosphere of early 1960s communist Czechoslovakia, on the other hand, through its highly artistic rendition, it announces the arrival of the „Czech new wave“, which made the Czech film worldwide famous. Loves of a Blonde, directed by Miloš Forman, received a 1967 Oscar nomination as well as Golden globe nomination for the best foreign language film.
The film will be shown at 8 p.m. and the entrance is free for all.
