Final Conference of the Social Housing System Project

Sarajevo Hidden Gem cheapflights.co.nzFinal conference of the EU funded project “Social Housing System (SHS) – Development of an Integrated Model in Theory and Practice” will take place on Wednesday, 11 November 2015, starting at 11:00 hrs, at the Hotel ‘Europe’ in Sarajevo.

Six housing buildings are constructed within the project in municipalities Jablanica, Prozor-Rama, Stari Grad Sarajevo, cities of Tuzla and Bijeljina and Brčko District BiH, in total with 62 housing units that are being handed over to families in social need to be used according to the principles of social housing.

Final results of the project will be presented at the Conference, including its most important result, Recommendations for an integrated sustainable model of social housing in BiH, and applied models of social housing will be promoted together with the representatives of BiH authorities.

The conference will be opened with welcome speeches by Melvin Asin, Head of Cooperation, EU Delegation to BiH, Mario Nenadić, BiH Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees, Sulejman Alijagić, FBiH Assistant Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, and Suzana Jašarević, Country Director for BiH, Hilfswerk Austria International.

The “SHS” project is financed by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA 2011) in the amount of € 1 million and co-funded by local authorities and Hilfswerk Austria International in the amount of € 714.905. The Project is implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA), in partnership with Foundation of Local Democracy (FLD).
