Five Bosniak Victims from the War identified

BOSNIA SREBRENICA MASS GRAVEThe Podrinje Identification Project (PIP) in Tuzla identified five victims, civilians of Bosniak ethnicity in the territory of Srebrenica, Zvornik and Bratunac killed in the last war.

Spokeswoman of the Missing Persons Institute in BiH Lejla Čengić said that the two identified victims were killed in July 1995 when Srebrenica fell and the other three victims in 1992 in the territory of Zvornik.

Remains of the identified victims have been exhumed earlier form the mass grave Kamenice in the territory of Zvornik and in individual localities of Križevačke njive and Križevići in the territory of the Zvornik Municipality.

The following victims are identified:

  1. Ibrahim (Osman) Selimović, born in 1941 in Srebrenica;
  2. Refik (Bego) Dervišević, born in 1971 in Srebrenica;
  3. Nuko (Haso) Hasanović, born in 1947 in Križevići, Zvornik;
  4. Alija (Mehmed) Hrustanović, born in 1959 in Križevići, Zvornik;
  5. Mevludin (Safet) Husić, born in 1961 in Suha, Bratunac.

Čengić said that so far 80 victims are prepared for a collective burial on July 11 in Potočari.

At the commemoration center in Tuzla identification of victims killed in the war will be conducted.
