One of the best football players in the world, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, ended his active sports career last year. In football, he won practically everything, scored more than 550 goals and finished in 13th place on the list of the best scorers. The reason why he was at the very top of world football for so long is his discipline towards the sport, which he transferred from the field to his private life.
“I can’t sit still. I have to be on the move. Keeping fit is in my nature. I have no problem with motivation, I like to challenge my body. It makes me feel good and alive,” says Zlatan.
As he once did on the field, and today through free physical activities, Zlatan challenges the strength of his own body to extreme limits.
How I discovered yoga
”There’s always something I’m not happy with, so I’m trying to raise that endurance limit to a higher level. It is actually the key to starting all aspects of your life. The hardest thing for me was when I couldn’t move the way I used to because of a serious injury. That’s when I discovered yoga. It was the opposite of the fast movement I was used to, so it was a new challenge for me. It was exciting, I learned skills that I could apply on the field. You should never be afraid to try new things,” noted Zlatan in an interview with “GQ” magazine, adding that where he comes from, people often told him that something is not possible, but that he wants to show children who are growing up that everything is possible, because he is the living proof of that.
Apart from football, Zlatan is an avid fan of high-performance fast cars. From the first Toyota he bought on lease, to the Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and Ferrari that were custom made just for him, his collection is truly impressive.
He bought a Ferrari as his birthday present
Aside from the cars he’s owned and driven thanks to sponsorship deals, Ibra’s car collection starts and ends with a Ferrari and a few Porsches in between.
A man of his status is able to afford a yacht, so Ibrahimovicadded the Riva Corsaro yacht worth eight million dollars and the new 34-meter Benelli Oasis to his collection of cars and motorcycles.
The versatile sportsman, owner of some of the most beautiful goals, also owns a high-tech sports complex in his hometown of Malmo, Sweden, and five padel centers. He called them Padel Zenter, using the letter Z as the first initial of his name. The centers, in addition to playing padel, the fastest growing sport in the world that is played today by almost 10 million people, are equipped so that they can also be used for holding congresses.
Last, but definitely not least, Ibrahimovic owns the entire island. For the rich and famous it is the status symbol par excellence.
