Foreign Trade Deficit Of BiH amounts to 7.45 Billion BAM

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the seven months (January-July) of this year amounted to nine billion and 899 million BAM, which is 5.7 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 17 billion and 354 million BAM, which is 4.4 percent more.

Coverage of imports by exports amounted to 57 percent, while the foreign trade goods deficit of BiH amounted to seven billion and 455 million BAM, according to the data of the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to one billion and 683 million BAM, which is 12.6 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to two billion and 124 million BAM, which is 11.3 percent more. Coverage of imports by exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 79.2 percent.

Exports from BiH to European Union (EU) countries in the first seven months of this year amounted to seven billion and 305 million BAM, which is five percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 10 billion and 120 million BAM, which is 1.8 percent more. Coverage of imports by exports to EU countries amounted to 72.2 percent.
