Four returnee children were brutally beaten in Stolac

Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar announced on his Facebook profile that four returnee children were beaten in Stolac last night.

“Four returning children, four golden boys, were beaten up in Stolac tonight. They were ambushed on their way back from the game in the manner of the most hardened bandits by unknown perpetrators with several cars at the entrance to Stolac,” Dizdar announced.

Dizdar added that the perpetrators then brutally beat and tortured them.

“This kind of violence must be urgently and severely punished. Support for young men and their families must be unconditional, decisive and clear, as well as the reaction of the police and the judiciary. For too long, for more than 25 years, when attacks on returnees are in question, we hear phrases about “investigations in flow” and “unknown perpetrators”. It’s more than enough”, pointed out Dizdar.

He emphasized that violence against returnees must be immediately sanctioned.

“From the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor’s Office, I expect a reaction, a quick investigation, apprehension and conviction of criminals – nothing less. The circle of possible perpetrators is not particularly large. I expect unique, unequivocal support for returnees from all actors of social order, from the local to the state level. Ministry will do everything within its jurisdiction for these young men and their families,” said Dizdar.
