The jazz diva Diane Reeves delighted the audience of the Jazz Fest Sarajevo in 2008. with her performance which confirmed her unique singing skills, extraordinary charisma and an astonishing energy. On November 7th, within the 18th Jazz Fest to be held at the Bosnian cultural centre BKC, Diane Reeves will present her newest project entitled “Beautiful Life”.
Reeves has so far made 20 albums and after a five year break in the discography, she now made a new album “Beautiful Life” for the Concord Records along with the soundtrack for the movie nominated for the Oscar by George Clooney “Good night and good luck”.
Diane Reeves is one of the most important contemporary singers and a four-time Grammy winner for the best vocal performance. So far she is the only artist to won this prestigious award for four albums in a row: In The Moment (2001), The Calling: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan (2002), A Little Moonlight (2004) and Good Night and Good Luck (2006).
After more than three decades of a successful career, Reeves concluded that life is beautiful so evergreens by Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley and Ani DiFranco are also present on the new album as well as two of her new compositions celebrating life and all its sorrow and joy.
