The airport in Mostar recorded good and notable business results last year, and this is supported by a new announcement. It is about new airlines that have a chance to be realized from this Herzegovinian city.

Mostar Airport and the City of Mostar have published a public call for the selection of the most favorable bidders for the establishment of subsidized regular flights for 2024.

Accordingly, the Mostar airport informs that the Italian airline “SkyAlps” has fulfilled the conditions and sent an offer for flights that could be made on the route to Mostar.

We are talking about possible airlines from Mostar to Rome, Munich, Bari and Verona, and details about this important step for the development of Mostar’s air connectivity will be published in the coming days.

“This is just the beginning of a positive story that the coming year will bring, and we look forward to building a successful future of air traffic from the airport in Mostar together with the passengers,” they announced from the Mostar airport.

The airport in Mostar has been struggling with poor business results for a long time, but in 2023 new lines were introduced, such as the one with the Italian city of Foggia.

According to the latest information, Mostar Airport could go under a concession with the support of the European Union, which allocated 350 thousand BAM for developing a development strategy and improving operations of Mostar Airport, which it sees as a huge potential for international air transport of passengers.

Also, in order to achieve the best possible results, in November 2023, the FBiH Government allocated 3.6 million BAM for the improvement of the airport in Mostar, but also in Sarajevo and Tuzla, Klix.ba writes.
