Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez today received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina Thomas Fitschen in an inaugural visit.

They discussed the cooperation between the two countries, focusing on training the Armed Forces of BiH (AF BiH) personnel in Germany and assistance in donating various equipment, the Ministry of Defense of BiH announced.

Germany invests significant funds in improving the technical and working conditions in the barracks of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the hope that the projects will continue in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of the different political attitudes at different levels of government.

Helez expressed gratitude for the long-term and unreserved help of FR Germany on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

Fitschen expressed assurances that further support from the Federal Republic of Germany in this regard will not be lacking.
