meto_682650The successful development-political cooperation between BiH and Germany will continue. In the framework of intergovernmental negotiations, which were held on 4 April in Sarajevo, the German delegation has approved new funds worth 56 million euros. The focal points of bilateral technical and financial cooperation are the improvement of public administration, democratic and economic support as well as infrastructure in the area of renewable energy.

The German Society is implementing the project for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Germany Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW). Both organizations have their offices in BiH.

“The overall goal of the development-political cooperation with BiH is to bring the country closer to the EU’’, said Christiane Markert, the charge d’affaires of the German Embassy in Sarajevo in the opening speech.

BiH could make its way successfully to the EU if it meets the requirements for all necessary reforms.

The head of the Delegation dr. Leo Kreuz from the Federal Ministry signed the protocol negotiations from the German side for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The head of the BiH Delegation was Mitar Kujundžić, Assistant Minister in the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representatives of the FBIH government and the RS and Brčko District also signed the memorandum.
