Good News: No COVID related Deaths in Canton Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, five people out of 422 tested positive for coronavirus in Sarajevo Canton, thirteen people recovered from coronavirus and no one died.

Of the mentioned number of newly infected, two persons belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 28 patients are hospitalized in Canton Sarajevo, 16 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ” twelve of them. There are no patients on a respirator, and oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is used by one hospitalized person who is currently being treated at the General Hospital. In the past 24 hours, there were no patients discharged from treatment.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 179 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 882 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 52,606 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 51,144 have been cured.

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is seven, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 12.
