The Government of Republika Srpska (RS) determined yesterday the proposal of the second budget rebalance of RS for this year, which is higher by 260 million BAM and amounts to six billion and 750 million BAM.

At the same time, a decision was made to increase long-term borrowing from 862 million BAM to one billion and 81 million BAM.

RS Minister of Finance Zora Vidovic stated that the reason for the increase in borrowing is that this year “we have a large debt repayment that is higher than 1.1 billion BAM.”

She stated that budget revenues are planned in the amount of 5.47 billion BAM, and expenditures at 5.4 billion BAM.

“The reasons for determining the rebalance are the increase in pensions, disability benefits, veterans’ benefits, as well as other changes on the revenue and expenditure side of the budget,” Vidovic added.

The proposal of the second budget rebalance of RS will be on the session of the National Assembly of RS (NARS) next week, while the proposal of the RS budget for next year will be finished in December.
