Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić and members of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović hosted the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
Members of the Presidency of BiH expressed satisfaction with the Commissioner Hahn’s visit and delivery of the Questionnaire of the European Commission, emphasizing that BiH is ready for this major step on the EU path.
Moreover, the informed the Commissioner Hahn about the readiness of BiH institutions on all levels to respond to the tasks related to filling in the Questionnaire. BiH Presidency members believe that in this way BiH confirms its credibility and reliability, as well as determination and commitment to the EU path. They reiterated that the aim of BiH is to obtain the candidate status by the end of 2017.
Members of the Presidency of BIH expressed gratitude to the institutions of European Union, especially the European Commission, for the support they have provided so far to BIH on it path towards the EU, expressing expectations that the support will be present in the future as well.
Commissioner Hahn said that BiH made an evident progress and that this positive momentum should be used. He expressed hope that the delivery of Questionnaire will launch activities that will convince everyone that BiH has a secured EU perspective.
