The Palestinian group Hamas released three more Israeli hostages on Saturday as part of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Israel.

The three prisoners – Or Levy, Eliyahu Sharabi and Ohad Ben Ami – were handed over by Hamas fighters to Red Cross representatives in the central city of Deir al-Balah.

One of the freed hostages was wearing an Israeli army uniform, while the other two were wearing brown clothing.

Red Cross representatives signed documents accepting the prisoners and transported them in vehicles to be handed over to the Israeli army.

In exchange for their release, the Israeli military plans to release 183 Palestinian prisoners, AA writes.

“According to information released by the Red Cross, three hostages have been transferred to them and are on their way to the IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) forces in the Gaza Strip,” the army and ISA said in a joint statement.

The army later confirmed that the three individuals were on their way to Israeli territory, accompanied by special forces.

They will undergo preliminary medical examinations.

This is the fifth exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners, taking place as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
