Defense Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez called on SNSD leader Milorad Dodik to “finally initiate the secession that he has been announcing for over a decade.”
“Enough of holding on in the announcement, enough of the soap opera without the last episode. If he has courage and a real plan, let him finally show it. If he doesn’t, let him stop poisoning this country. However, let him know one thing in advance: the citizens who love this country are neither naive nor passive. While he plays a revolutionary without the courage to make a move, others are thinking seriously. There is also a plan B, fully developed, legal and ready. We sincerely hope that we will never need it, because it would not bring good to anyone. And especially not to him,” he stated.
He further “openly” adds: “RS will disappear a hundred times sooner than Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
“The RS will not ‘exit’ BiH, in that case it would cease to exist. Dodik knows very well how the smaller BiH entity was created, if he embarks on an adventure it will disappear the same way it was created. In his public appearances, Dodik uses insulting Bosniaks and rape of history as a smoke screen. When there are no arguments, there are insults. When there are no facts, there is revisionism. When there is no future, he digs into the past, falsely, selectively and shamefully,” he stated.
He points out that there has been no concrete step for more than 10 years.
“Only the poisoning of this country. Whenever it gets crowded, courts, affairs, sanctions, an empty coffers, he pulls out the same well-worn phrase and expects everyone to stand still. Therefore, Milorad: either do what you have been threatening for years, or finally admit that ‘secession’ is just a slogan to extend your political career. Both would, frankly, be more honest than this endless feigning of force. Whatever you decide, we are ready,” stated Helez.
