The helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina that crashed is located in Jablanica Lake and will be recovered today.

The diving team of the special unit of the Federal Police Administration (FUP), which is involved in the search today by order of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, managed to locate the helicopter after several hours of searching, despite reduced visibility due to cloudy water.

The Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs states that, according to the statements of the responsible persons, there are about 400 liters of fuel in the helicopter.

For this reason, the federal water inspector, with the consent of the acting prosecutor, verbally ordered the immediate installation of barriers on the water in order to promptly stop and remediate any fuel spillage during the recovery of the helicopter.

The helicopter, which crashed yesterday at 11:00 a.m., was engaged in a dress rehearsal for the planned exercise with the civil protection of the municipality of Konjic, which was supposed to be held today.
