The”Even-Uneven” Traffic System in Canton Sarajevo abolished?

fog Sarajevo The decision on the traffic system according to the principle of even and uneven is revoked. This was decided yesterday by the Operational Headquarters of the Government of Canton Sarajevo for the implementation of the Plan of intervention measures in cases of excessive air pollution in CS.

The decision was made due to recorded decline of polluting particles in the air.

Operational Headquarters consisted of Minister of Health of the Government of CS Zilha Ademaj, Minister of Interior of CS Vedran Mulabdic, Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and Environment of CS Cedomir Lukic, Police Commissioner of MIA CS Mevludin Halilovic and experts for environmental protection and air.

This decision was in force for two days after it was signed on the 24th of December by Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and Environment of CS, Cedomir Lukic.

It is a system “even-uneven”, which means that one day the ban applies to all vehicles whose registration license number ends with 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8, and the other day ban applies for all uneven numbers on registration licenses, thus 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Drivers who failed to comply with the above mentioned rules were not penalized, but only warned by the police. For companies that did not comply with the prescribed measures was prescribed a fine in the amount of 1,000 to 5,000 BAM, and for individuals from 500 to 1000 BAM.

This measure did not apply to vehicles of police, the ministry of defense, public transport, public utilities and vehicles with diplomatic plates and emergency services (ambulance, fire brigade and civil protection), as well as the vehicle for the supply of medicines and food.
