Helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been intensively working on extinguishing fires in threatened parts of Neum municipality in the past few days.

This morning, helicopter crews, in cooperation with representatives of the local government, carried out a reconnaissance of the threatened area, where it was concluded that the fires have been brought under control and that the need for further engagement of the resources of the Armed Forces of BiH ceases.

The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are proud of the performance of the helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this area, which, together with other entities, were involved in the action of extinguishing and suppressing fires in this area.

The engagement of the resources of the Armed Forces of BiH significantly prevented the further spread of the fire, prevented possible negative consequences, and eliminated the danger to the population and material goods at the burned locations.

The armed forces with their resources remain ready for all future engagements in the event of a need to help the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina wherever and whenever help is needed and requested.
