Yesterday, the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on Roads in BiH, which concerns penalties for painting over Latin/Cyrillic inscriptions and parking in places for people with disabilities.

The delegates supported the amendments to the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on Roads in BiH, which stipulates that for an offense where an inscription in one of the two scripts present (Latin or Cyrillic) is painted over or otherwise covered, the offender shall be fined in the amount of 400 to 1.000 BAM.

In the part of the law that introduces a higher fine for parking in disabled parking spaces, it is stipulated that it amounts to 200 BAM and one penalty point.

As the laws were voted in different texts in the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples, the House of Peoples formed a commission for harmonizing the texts of the laws, consisting of Sredoje Novic, Safet Softic, and Zdenko Cosic.

The House of Peoples also adopted a conclusion requiring the Ministry of Communications and Transport to prepare a proposal for a completely new law within 90 days and submit it to the legislative procedure, Klix.ba reports.
