The independent trade union of employees of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar has announced a mass protest of healthcare workers in Herzegovina-Neretva County, which will take place on Wednesday, October 29.

As stated in the notice sent to the Government of HNŽ, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare and the Ministry of the Interior, the gathering of workers will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Spanish Square in front of the Mostar Gymnasium, from where the column will move towards the Government of HNŽ building.

A press conference is planned for 11:00 in front of the Government building. After the address, the column will move along Kralja Tvrtko street to Rondo, and then return to Spanjolski trg.

“The mass protest of HNŽ health workers – Wednesday, October 29, starts with a walk from Spanjolski Square at 10:30 a.m. We are heading towards the Government building where we will show the power of the union to the arrogant government and hold a press conference at 11 a.m. See you!”, the SKB Mostar union said via Facebook.

Let us remind you that health workers are asking for the signing of an annex to the collective agreement, identical to the one signed earlier with the Union of Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry of HNŽ.

At the beginning of last week, the independent union of employees of SKB Mostar submitted a report to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the judge of the Municipal Court in Mostar, Goran Jurka, due to, as they claim, a justified suspicion of biased and illegal behavior in the case against the union.
